Profile
GEFRAN SIT 11 laboratory provides calibration certificates for measurements of atmospheric relative pressure.
It is accredited for dial analog pressure gauges and for digital pressure gauges in the 0…1000 bar range.
The accreditation covers in-gas performed calibrations in the range from 250 millibar to 17.5 bar, as well as in-liquid performed calibrations in the range from 1 to 1000 bar.
The calibration is carried out by comparison with SIT laboratory reference standards, using manometric balances (primary standards) for calibrations of pressure gauges having an estimated uncertainty higher than 0.1%.
Secondary standards (or working standards) are applied for calibrations of instruments with an estimated uncertainty higher than 0.1%.
Secondary standards are metrologically generated by the primary standards in order to grant their traceability to the National Standards.
The SIT certificate will show the standard pressure value opposite to the value of the instrument being calibrated, as well as the related error.
The procedures applied to carry out the calibration, as filed at SIT-IMGC Head Secretary Office of CNR in Turin, are also listed in the certificate.
Furthermore, a SIT certificate is guaranteed to be always traceable (thanks to a filing system that grants the certificate to be traced at any time after being issued), and acknowledged world-wide by the other National Metrological Institutes, since SIT is one of the Signatories of the “EA” (European Co-operation for the Accreditation of Laboratories).
For non-accredited ranges, our laboratory provides a Test Report traceable to SIT Primary Standards (-0,85…2000bar).
